Sen. Rand Paul on Monday took to Twitter to slam fellow Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, calling him a "warmonger."
The shot across the bow would appear to be Paul's reaction to the news that many lawmakers, including Graham, have said they weren't aware that the U.S. had military forces and operations in Niger, where four green berets were killed earlier this month.
Graham on Sunday said he "didn't know there was 1,000 troops in Niger."
Graham and Paul also seem to be vying for the support of President Donald Trump on other issues, too, Politico reported Monday.
Both Graham and Paul have hit the links with the president, both claim to talk to the president often, but the senators are on competing ends on budgetary issues, Politico reported.
"Everybody's on my side and Rand's just Rand," Graham told Politico.
