Businessman and investor Mark Cuban says he's open to the idea of being Hillary Clinton's running mate in November.

But in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Cuban said there's a big "if" to the possibility — and that he'd be just as willing to have the same conversation with GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

Public service, he said, "is more a consideration than it was before," he said.

He said he'd be open to a VP slot on a Clinton ticket if she moved toward the center, but that he'd also be open to talking about the No. 2 spot with Trump should he win the GOP nomination.

"He's taken out the usual bullet points, that's a good thing," he said of Trump.

Trump has said he will likely turn to a political veteran to be his running mate, while Clinton said she’d expand her search to include people outside of politics.
