Megyn Kelly came out swinging at her critics Wednesday night on "The Kelly File."
After absorbing numerous body blows over her interview with Donald Trump on Tuesday night, the Fox News anchor went down the list of critics and fired back with a caveat as to why certain critics ostensibly didn't like the interview:
Eric Wemple of the Washington Post: hates Trump
Amy Davidson of the New York Times: Bias toward Fox News, Kelly
Isaac Chotiner of Slate: hates Trump
"As I said, right from the beginning of this thing, I was never going to love him. And I was never going to hate him. And those who assumed either one assumed too much,"
Kelly said
on her program.
The interview on Kelly's Fox debut, "Megyn Kelly Presents," brought in 4.8 million viewers, more than double her April average of 2.3 on Fox News Channel, according to the
Hollywood Reporter.
