Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump can pick up female votes in November if he "behaves himself" and "isn't so much of a bully."
In a speech before the American Hospital Association, Kelly conceded the GOP presidential front-runner has used language "diminishing of womankind,"
The Hill reports.
"The comments about women, I don't think women love that," said Kelly, who has been the target of frequent
Twitter tirades by Trump since she grilled him during a presidential debate last Aug. 6.
"But I don't know that it's going to drive their vote. I think if Trump behaves himself and acts presidentially, and isn't so much of a bully — which women tend to not appreciate either — he can move those numbers a bit."
The Hill notes a March poll found 73 percent of registered female voters in the United States had an unfavorable view of Trump.
Kelly said she and the real estate billionaire are on "much better ground" since their
meeting last month.
"I look forward to covering the general election from the sidelines, where I ought to be,” she said.
