First lady Melania Trump has entered the fundraising fray for her husband as the 2020 presidential primary season gets under way, Politico reported Monday.
Melania Trump is planning to host two March fundraisers, including March 18 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, and March 25 in Beverly Hills, California, according to event invitations, per the report.
The fundraisers benefit Trump Victory, which funds Trump's 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee.
Trump still faces impeachment in the Senate – although the anticipated result is acquittal – and he has being calling for retaking the House and holding the Senate along with the White House in recent campaign rallies.
While Melania Trump has mostly been a quiet participant in her husband's campaigns, she is stepping up her efforts this cycle.
A Gallup poll in December voted Melania the second most admired woman in the world.
