Former national security adviser Michael Flynn has again refused to appear before the Senate intelligence committee, CNN reported Tuesday night.
Flynn rejected an initial Senate subpoena in May, invoking his Fifth Amendment rights — and when the committee recently reiterated its request, he declined again, CNN reported.
A lawyer for Flynn, who resigned from the White House in February over his communications with the Russian ambassador to the United States, declined to comment, CNN reported.
The former general has offered to testify before both the House and Senate intelligence committees in exchange for immunity, but lawmakers have rejected the deal.
Both committees are conducting their own investigations into Russian interference in the election, including President Donald Trump and his campaign officials’ ties to Russia.
