The results of a new poll show that Vice President Mike Pence has a favorable rating about on par with his boss, President Donald Trump.
Key figures in the Gallup survey results:
- The latest numbers show that 43 percent of U.S. adults view Pence favorably. 42 percent said they view him unfavorably, with 16 percent saying they had no opinion.
- Since Trump and Pence took office in January 2017, both have averaged a 42 percent favorable rating in Gallup polling. Pence, however, has an average unfavorable rating of 42 percent, compared to Trump's 56 percent.
- Compared to Pence's net favorable rating of zero (favorable minus unfavorable), the highest figures since 1993 are former Vice President Al Gore (+21), former President Bill Clinton (+17), former President George W. Bush (+14), and former President Barack Obama (+9).
