Vice President-elect Mike Pence will meet with House Republicans on Wednesday to discuss repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, The Hill reports, quoting a GOP House leadership aide.
Pence will attend a conference meeting as members of the party are reportedly looking at delaying when parts of "Obamcare" will actually be repealed. Though Republicans have long sought to overturn President Barack Obama's signature legislation – and Presdident-elect Donald Trump made it a major part of his campaign – they want to ensure they don't fully repeal the law until they have a replacement ready.
House Republicans also want to add Medicare reform to the effort, while their Senate counterparts want to focus only on Obamacare, The Hill reported on Sunday.
Obama himself is set to meet with Democrats on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to seek efforts to preserve as much of Obamacare as possible.
