Members of the military prefer Republican Donald Trump for president over Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, according to the results of a new poll.

The Military Times survey shows that Trump leads Clinton 54 percent to 25 percent and Sanders, 51 percent to 38 percent among active-duty military personnel.

Other findings from the poll:
  • 21 percent would not vote if the election were between Trump and Clinton
  • 11 percent would not vote if the election were between Trump and Sanders
  • The breakdown of those surveyed was two-thirds enlisted personal and one third officers
Trump is the presumed Republican nominee for president, although that status has ruffled many feathers within the party. House Speaker Paul Ryan says he will step down as convention chairman if Trump wanted him to.
