Former President Donald Trump's approval among Muslim voters has risen since the 2020 presidential election, according to a new poll by the Rainey Center, gaining him favor with nearly a third of the community.

The survey, as exclusively reported by the New York Post and conducted Aug. 23-29 showed that 30% of Muslim voters would back Trump if the election were held today — an increase from the 23% of support he received in 2020.

Conversely, the poll also found that Vice President Kamala Harris would receive 62% of the Muslim vote, with the remaining support divided among third-party candidates. The survey sampled 600 Muslim respondents, 49% of whom were registered Democrats, 28% of whom were independents, and 18% of whom were Republicans.

Among their top concerns, Muslim voters cited the economy, crime, and foreign policy, including the Israel-Hamas war. Despite Trump's increased support, a majority of respondents still aligned more closely with the Democratic Party on most issues.
