President Donald Trump ripped The New York Times as “Fake News” and said the newspaper is "under siege."

His Wednesday morning tweet came a day after New York Times editor and writer Bari Weiss wrote a scathing resignation letter.

He said the “real reason” the paper is “under siege” is because “it has become Fake News.”

Trump said the newspaper "never covered me correctly."

"They blew it," he wrote. "People are fleeing, a total mess!"

Weiss posted her resignation letter to New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger on her website. She said she was bullied by her colleagues and called a Nazi and a racist. She said “self-censorship has become the norm” at the newspaper and that social media was the “ultimate editor.”
