Democratic contender Joe Biden is very likely to lose Pennsylvania to President Donald Trump, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on Sunday, along with many other key states that will likely determine the winner of Tuesday’s election.

Speaking on “The Cats Roundtable” radio show on WABC 770AM hosted by John Catsimatidis, Gingrich said that “Biden‘s comments on fracking and on killing the oil and gas business - that is Western Pennsylvania,” stressing that ”I think he has lost substantial ground in Pennsylvania and… will almost certainly lose Pennsylvania. It’s compounded by the rioting in Philadelphia, which weakens Biden in the suburbs.”

Gingrich said all the major polls are wrong, like they were in 2016, mainly due to a large number of hidden Trump voters who feel they will be ostracized by friends and colleagues if they say so publicly.

The former House speaker contrasted Biden’s hidden campaign in terms of policies, meeting with people and talking to the press with what he called Trump’s sheer energy on the campaign trail and the size of the crowds at his rallies.

Gingrich said that many in those crowds, an estimated 35%, have never voted before, and that is what makes the polls so invalid.

Gingrich also said the ultimate issue between the candidates might be over shutting the economy down again over the coronavirus.

While Trump does not want to do that, Gingrich said “Biden, who has hidden in the basement for all these months, thinks it’s perfectly fine to shut things down, because that’s what he has done,” adding that, “if people think that voting for Biden is voting for another shutdown, then his vote will drop very dramatically.
