Newt: Trump's Russia Remark a 'Joke'

Newt Gingrich Wednesday labeled Donald Trump's call for Russia to locate Hillary Clinton's missing emails a "joke" and attacked the media for devoting more coverage to that than the Democratic presidential nominee's personal server being vulnerable to hackers in the first place.

Gingrich posted this on Twitter:

  

 

Trump posted the remark on Twitter after dismissing accusations that he was involved in the hacking and release of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails.

The Republican nominee's comments also were slammed by former CIA Director Leon Panetta, who called them "beyond the pale."
