A feud that began between National Rifle Association (NRA) spokeswoman Dana Loesch and Rep. Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., quickly got personal. Loesch has now called upon the New York Democrat to resign after she tweeted on Thursday the NRA and its spokeswoman were "domestic security threats, The Hill reported Friday.

"This is a congresswoman who, in her area, MS-13 is killing black and Hispanic men. And yet she has harsher words for me and for NRA members than she does for MS-13. That says something," Loesch told Fox News on Friday. "She needs to resign."

"I'm just going to say it. #NRA & @DLoesch are quickly becoming domestic security threats under President Trump. We can't ignore that," Rice tweeted.

Rice spokesman Coleman Lamb defended Rice's tweet on Friday, saying in a statement, the NRA "no longer has anything to do with protecting Second Amendment Rights," The Washington Post reported.

"Their leaders and spokespeople are depicting the United States as a country on the brink of civil war, and actively encouraging violence against political activists and the free press," Lamb said. "That's extremely troubling to Representative Rice, as it should be to all law-abiding gun-owners and NRA members."
