Rasmussen: Oprah Leads Trump by 10 Points in Hypothetical Matchup

Oprah Winfrey would defeat President Donald Trump by 10 points in a hypothetical presidential head-to-head, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey of likely voters.

The results, according to the conservative polling outlet:

  • Oprah: 48 percent.
  • Trump: 38 percent.
  • Undecideds: 14 percent.

The breakdown of the undecided, according to Rasmussen's results:

  • Republicans: 12 percent undecided.
  • Democrats: 12 percent undecided.
  • Unaffiliated: 19 percent undecided.

Rasmussen's breakdown shows Oprah with a 6-point lead over Trump with unaffiliated voters, 44 percent to 38 percent.

Winfrey, predictably, owns a hefty lead with Democratic voters (76 percent) as Trump does with Republican voters (66 percent).

However, Oprah pulls in 22 percent of Republicans while Trump garners just 12 percent of Democrats, according to Rasmussen's survey.

Rasmussen found that 55 percent overall have a favorable view of Oprah, compared to 34 percent who have an unfavorable view of her.

Meanwhile, Trump's approval rating sits at 44 percent, a tick down from his six-month high of 45 percent last week, according to Rasmussen.

Rasmussen Reports surveyed 1,000 likely voters Jan. 8-9. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
