As her confirmation hearing for attorney general began Wednesday, Pam Bondi received an endorsement from the border patrol union.
The National Border Patrol Council said they were endorsing Bondi, who previously served as Florida Attorney General.
"We have no doubt that Ms. Bondi is the right person to lead the Justice Department, and we fully support President-elect Donald Trump's efforts to get the right people confirmed and in place to begin his Administration's immediate efforts to secure our country," the union said in a statement.
The National Sheriffs' Association and the Major County Sheriffs of America announced their endorsements of Bondi on Tuesday. The Fraternal Order of Police, the nation's largest police organization, has endorsed her, along with several former DOJ officials and state attorneys general.
