House Speaker Paul Ryan's joint fundraising committee recently transferred almost $2 million to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), bringing the 2017 total to more than $30 million.

According to The Hill, Team Ryan handed over $1.9 million to the NRCC in the last transaction. That brought the total for the year to $32 million.

"This transfer demonstrates once again how the momentum behind tax reform is fueling Republicans on the ground politically," Team Ryan executive director Kevin Seifert said.

Team Ryan fundraises for Ryan For Congress, the NRCC, and the Prosperity Action political action committee.

The Hill noted that the transfer of cash came after Ryan visited California and New York to attend fundraisers.

Ryan transferred $2 million to the NRCC in August. It's unclear if he made additional transfers between August and the most recent transaction.

It was reported in October that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised about $9 million more than the NRCC in the third fundraising quarter of 2017.
