President Barack Obama's policies on ISIS, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and more have failed the nation, but instead, he showed more anger toward Donald Trump rather than ISIS after the Orlando shootings, Rep. Pete King, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Wednesday.

"The president is critical because many Republicans and some Democrats say he should be able to use the words Islamic jihad, or Islamic terrorism," the New York Republican said on the Fox Business Network's "Mornings with Maria Bartiromo" program. "He has called ISIS the JV team."

And in many ways, King continued, Obama is in denial as his policies continue to fail. He admitted he does not always agree with Trump, but he does wish that Obama "showed some of that anger toward ISIS rather than at Donald Trump.

There will always be random terrorism attacks, King said, but ISIS makes the matter different, "it's an army, a movement against us," and that's a point Obama does not want to grasp, Further, many Americans made that same mistake before the 9/11 attacks.

"They have diverse units," said King. "It is an international movement coming against us."

Meanwhile, King said that he does not think more Homeland Security funding would have helped in Orlando, as they are not generally effective against lone wolf attacks, but he does believe the FBI needs more funding and to make more use of local police departments' capabilities.
