One-third of Americans believe Russia influenced the presidential election, a new poll released Tuesday reveals.
The Politico/Morning Consult poll also found 44 percent believe Russia did not influence the election, while the remainder were unsure or had no opinion, Politico reports.
Both the CIA and FBI have said Russia attempted to interfere with the election to help President-elect Donald Trump. But, Politico noted, Trump has been skeptical of the agencies' assessments and has asked for direct proof.
Here is how the rest of the poll breaks down:
- Trust the FBI: 66 percent.
- Trust the CIA: 65 percent.
- Trust President Barack Obama: 55 percent.
- Trust Trump: 51 percent.
- Favorable view of Russia: 22 percent.
- Unfavorable view of Russia: 62 percent.
The poll surveyed 2,000 voters from Dec. 15-19.
