Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is holding a slight lead over national front-runner Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin, according to a new Fox Business Network poll, and owes his numbers to the state's young voters and to men.

In the random sample of 1,602 Wisconsin voters, including 860 likely Democratic primary voters:
  • Sanders: 48 percent;
  • Clinton, 43 percent;
  • Among voters under age 45: Sanders over Clinton, 69-22 percent;
  • Among men: Sanders over Clinton, 55-36 percent.
  • With women: Clinton over Sanders, 47-44 percent;
  • Women under age 45: Sanders over Clinton, 66-28 percent.
  • Independents: Sanders over Clinton, 56-29 percent;
  • Undecided: 10 percent.
The poll carries a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 points among the Democratic voters surveyed.

The survey also found that Clinton tops GOP front-runner Donald Trump by 49-35 percent among the state's voters overall in a hypothetical November ballot match-up.

In addition, 76 percent of Sanders' supporters would back Clinton in that scenario, while 62 of GOP candidate Ted Cruz's supporters would back Trump.
