Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are neck-and-neck across 13 battleground states, a new poll shows.

The CBS News Battleground Tracker released Sunday surveyed voters in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin.

It found each candidate with 42 percent support, the survey shows. The same poll found up 1 point last week, and up 2 points on Labor Day weekend, CBS News reports.

In other findings:

  • 55 percent of battleground voters want to see "big changes" in politics and the economy in the next few years, while 43 percent want "some change," and 2 percent think everything is fine.
  • 47 percent of voters in those states feel Trump could bring change; 20 percent think Clinton could.
  • 47 percent of responders in those states think Clinton could handle the job of president "day-to-day," while 39 percent say the same thing about Trump.
  • 86 percent of Democrats say the nation would be "damaged beyond repair" if Trump wins; 83 percent of Republicans think the same thing about a Clinton victory.

The survey's margin of error is plus or minus 1.9 percentage points.
