A new poll shows Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump with a more than two-point lead over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times "Daybreak" poll comes eight days before Americans elect a new president and was mostly conducted before the bombshell announcement the FBI is reopening its probe into Clinton’s private email practices.
According to the poll, the billionaire real estate tycoon leads the former secretary of state 46.2 percent to 43.8 percent. The same poll, released Oct. 24, showed Clinton leading 45 percent to 43.8 percent.
A Real Clear Politics average of the nation's major polls Monday afternoon had Clinton ahead by ahead by 2.5 points, with a 47.5-percent to 45-percent lead.
