Poll: More Than Half Say Military Action Needed in NKorea

A slight majority of voters favor military action to stop North Korea's nuclear weapons program, according to a new survey.

The national Fox News Poll of registered voters found that 51 percent say U.S. military action will be needed to stop North Korea from continuing its nuke program; 53 percent favor military force to keep the nation from making further advancements.

Other findings:

  • 38 percent say North Korea is the greatest immediate threat to the United States; 25 percent think ISIS is the biggest threat; 18 percent believe Russia is the No. 1 threat; 5 percent picked China, and 4 percent believe Iran is the biggest threat.
  • 42 percent of voters oppose the Iran nuclear agreement, 35 percent support it and 23 percent are unable to give an opinion.
  • 45 percent approve of President Donald Trump's handling of North Korea, while 47 percent disapprove; 43 percent approve of Trump's handling of foreign policy in general, while 49 percent disapprove.

The poll's margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points for all registered voters.
