Making a call for Republican, Trump-supporting voter participation in an election that will see record turnout, Trump campaign pollster John McLaughlin seeks to shock the world again.

"For those of us who were there four years ago, this is déjà vu all over again, because Donald Trump won that election four years ago with his hard work and his message, and he's doing the same thing again today," McLaughlin told Sunday's "The Cats Roundtable" on WABC 770 AM-N.Y.

The anti-Trump media polling, while trending in President Donald Trump's direction are still predicting a victory for Democrat Joe Biden, but they predicted a Hillary Clinton incorrectly in 2016, too, McLaughlin told host John Catsimatidis.

"They're coming out with polls right now to convince us that we can't win," McLaughlin added. "And four years ago, when they told us we couldn't win, we proved them they were wrong. We have to do it again right now."

McLaughlin predicts "a record turnout of 150 million voters or more" and points to the battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Arizona as the deciding states.

"Pennsylvania is going to be key," he said. We've gone down from a seven-point Biden lead to a three-point lead in the average. North Carolina is a dead heat. Arizona: The president has gone a little ahead. Georgia is a dead heat. So, it looks like a very close election."

Trump needs to carry all of states, including the big electoral college hauls in Texas and Florida, which he concluded "don't look like they are in play" for Biden.

"The Democrats kept trying to say that Texas was in play," McLaughlin said. "Right now in Texas, Republicans have like a 600,000-voter edge in the early voting. Florida, everything hinges on Florida, and the Republicans, in the early-in person voting, have now passed the Democrats."

Notably, Biden is campaigning in the state of Michigan, which shows even he might not trust the polling lead he has there.

"You watch where the candidates go," McLaughlin said. "And Joe Biden, for him to be out campaigning in Michigan at this stage of the game . . . They're worried about that state, and that state was a +9 Democrat advantage four years ago."
