White House aide Sebastian Gorka sent a warning to West Wing staffers about leaking information, saying not to "toy" with President Donald Trump's new chief of staff John Kelly, The Hill reported Saturday.

"This is John F. Kelly. This is a man you do not toy with," Gorka told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" Saturday.

Gorka explained since Kelly began his new role on Monday, the mood had changed in the West Wing. Kelly, a retired four-star Marine general, had been serving as secretary of Homeland Security before Trump tapped him for the position.

"For those like myself that have nothing to hide, we're doing business as usual," Gorka said.

"For those who may have not been abiding by federal law when it comes to sensitive and classified information, I think they've got the message, and I think you will see things change very rapidly," he added.

Trump's presidency has been beleaguered by leaks since taking office in January. Following the leak last week to The Washington Post of full transcripts of telephone conversations the president had with leaders of Mexico and Australia, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a crackdown Friday on leaking information to the media.

Gorka on Saturday called Sessions a "serious man" who would "get to the bottom of the leaks."
