Sen. Rand Paul will deliver his own rebuttal to President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday night.
The Kentucky Republican's response will be prerecorded, then posted to YouTube shortly after the president's speech,
The Washington Post reported.
Paul will follow up with appearances on CNN and Fox News Channel later that night, as well as interviews on the Sunday talk shows later on in the week.
It won't be the first time he's delivered a response to the president's annual speech. The Kentucky senator was picked last year by the Tea Party Express
to deliver a response.
Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah will deliver
the tea party response this year for Tea Party Express, and Washington Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers will deliver the
official Republican response.
Paul is considered one of the top contenders for the
presidential race in 2016.
