Sen. Rand Paul on Monday angrily rebuked congressional Republicans' tax reform plan for providing a tax cut that he said would only benefit about 30 percent of middle class Americans.
Republicans can only afford to lose three votes on tax reform, Axios reported, and retiring Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., on Sunday told Meet The Press he won't support the tax bill if it adds to the deficit.
Paul's displeasure adds to the pressure on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to deliver a final bill acceptable to his members, Axios reported.
