President Donald Trump's approval rating is back up a tick to 50 percent, good for 3 points better than Barack Obama at this same point 8 years ago, according to Rasmussen Reports' latest daily tracking poll.
Trump started the week with a jump to 51 percent but then dropped to 49 percent Tuesday, according to Rasmussen.
Wednesday's results:
- 50 percent approve of the job Trump is doing
- 33 percent of those "strongly approve"
- 49 percent disapprove of Trump
- 41 percent of those "strongly disapprove"
Rasmussen's approval rating is not only the lone rating service that shows Trump in the black, it's the only rating service that doesn't show the president in the red by double digits, according to RealClearPolitics.
RCP's composite average of Trump's approval rating: 41.9 percent approval vs. 54.4 disapproval.
Rasmussen's daily tracking results are collected via surveys of 500 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. The margin of sampling error for the full sample of 1,500 likely voters is 2.5 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
