Americans for Economic Freedom, an advocacy group linked to Texas Gov. Rick Perry, is set to broadcast ads blasting Washington's paralysis and lauding conservative governors for providing strong policies, Politico reports.

The ads are to start Tuesday on Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, and numerous radio stations.

The TV spots show Perry talking about the work of Republican governors: "Washington needs to change, but the president keeps playing politics," he says.

"Conservative leadership is putting people back to work, and families are building their futures. We need more of that and less of Washington." Perry says governors are helping states balance their budgets and "reform taxes and regulations."

Other Republican governors, such as Louisiana's Bobby Jindal, also have been saying that the nation's problems are being solved by governors in the states rather than by Congress.

As for Perry, he is considering a bid for the presidency in 2016.
