Rick Santorum Schedules South Carolina Events

Former Sen. Rick Santorum is in South Carolina for two events, joining other Republican presidential hopefuls visiting the early primary state.

Santorum was scheduled to speak at a luncheon hosted by the Charleston County Republican Women. He is also scheduled to address the Charleston County Republican Committee at the North Charleston City Hall on Monday evening, according to his group Patriot Voices.

The former senator from Pennsylvania is also supposed to attend two private fundraisers and meet with local activists and party leaders during his visit to the Palmetto State, where he finished third during the 2012 Republican primary.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas are also scheduled to make appearances in South Carolina, The State reported.

Cruz will speak at the eighth annual Free Enterprise Foundation dinner Tuesday night at The Citadel in Charleston.

Huckabee will headline a Pastors and Pews event in Greenville on May 2, which is sponsored by the American Renewal Project.

Jindal is scheduled to headline the South Carolina Republican Party's Silver Elephant Dinner on June 6, according to The State.
