Ron Johnson: Congress 'Can't Move on Because Obamacare Is a Mess'

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said that Congress cannot abandon its attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

Johnson told CNN's "New Day" program on Tuesday that Congress must continue its push on healthcare reform.

"We can't move on from healthcare because Obamacare is a mess," he said. "This problem isn't going away, Obamacare. These markets are collapsing, premiums have skyrocketed."

Despite Johnson's appeal, Senate Republicans appear wary of another attempt after the vote last week, which went against their healthcare bill.

Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., told reporters that "it's time to move on," until the party can reach an agreement on healthcare.

"Obviously we didn't give up and we didn't quit and we gave it our best shot, and we can come back to this at a later time," he said.
