Donald Trump's decisive win in Tuesday's New York GOP primary will help show delegates he is the candidate who can win voters in every region of the country, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani told Fox News.

"Can [Ted Cruz] win in the north, and can he win in the south?" Giuliani said Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity." "How about Alabama and Massachusetts?"

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is a sectional candidate at best, Giuliani told host Sean Hannity.

"And he even lost in the section he could win in," the south, he added.

Tuesday's win will turn some of the delegates who aren't fully committed, Giuliani predicted.

"You know, some of those delegates that were moving toward Cruz, when they see a big win in New York like this, when they see the kind of cross-sectional support that Trump has, that Cruz does not have, when they see that tiny little number that Cruz got in New York, how can he ever win New York? How can he ever win Massachusetts? How could he ever win California?"

"Do you think trump can win those states?" Hannity asked. "Those are deep blue states."
"I think Trump is viable almost everywhere," Giuliani said.
