Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin brushed off criticism of her speech at Saturday's Iowa Freedom Summit, saying the crowd clearly enjoyed it.
Palin appeared Tuesday on
Fox News Channel's "Hannity" and was asked by host Sean Hannity about the speech that even some of her supporters described as rambling.
"Did a teleprompter go down? Did you have trouble with the copy? Was there any moment in the speech where you had any difficulty?" Hannity asked.
"I don’t read the praise and I don’t read the criticism because I know how you guys — or how the media in general works," Palin said.

Hannity, not wanting to be lumped in with the mainstream press, was quick to jump in, "I'm not 'you guys.'"
Palin didn't specifically say a teleprompter malfunctioned on Saturday, but added, "Remember at the GOP acceptance speech back in '08, the teleprompter broke there, too. I kept on going."
The
Wall Street Journal later reported that despite claims of a teleprompter malfunction during the GOP convention, reporters onsite said there was at most a minor glitch in the prompter.
Palin noted that she received standing ovations throughout the Saturday speech and another when she finished.
"So I don’t know, I think a lot of this herd mentality of some reporters would — that kind of exacerbates some of the criticism," Palin said.
