In a veiled slap at Donald Trump, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says delegates attending the Republican convention next month "should be able to vote the way they see fit," according to the Independent.

Walker's remarks on Tuesday mean he's okay with delegates voting their conscience even if that means dismissing Donald Trump, who is the GOP's presumptive presidential nominee.

The Independent reports that Walker, a delegate himself, plans to follow party's rules and vote for Sen. Ted Cruz in the convention's first ballot because Cruz won the Wisconsin primary.

Meanwhile, around 69 percent of people who took a CNN/ORC poll see potential conflicts in Trump being chairman of his Trump Organization while running for president and believe he should step down during his bid for the White House.
