President Donald Trump campaigns on getting conservative justices to the Supreme Court and his next list of prospective nominees is going to as soon as next week.

"You will see it soon," White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters at Thursday's White House daily press briefing. "Certainly in the next few weeks, but it will be after the Labor Day weekend."

Trump had planned to furnish the list on Sept. 1, he said in June after being frustrated by the Supreme Court ruling that blocked the administration's attempts to unwind former President Barack Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive order.

Trump has nominated Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in his first term and has often hailed the record number of judicial appointments to the lower courts, which hit 200 as of late spring.

Some of those confirmed judges might wind up on his new SCOTUS list, according to The Hill.

"It is no wonder the Biden campaign hasn't been talking up the Supreme Court any more than Hillary Clinton did," the Cato Institute's Ilya Shapiro wrote in an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal on Thursday. "The Democrats know that no matter how upset their base is about Mitch McConnell's power plays, the issue of judges is a winner for Mr. Trump."
