Conservative commentator Sean Hannity has endorsed Republican Barbara Comstock in the race for Virginia's 10th congressional district, according to the
Washington Free Beacon.
"Barbara Comstock is a solid and reliable conservative," said the Fox News host. "I've known her for many years. She'd make a great member of Congress. I am happy to join other conservatives and proudly endorse her candidacy."
Hannity is the latest influential Republican to back Comstock, who is one of four Republicans seeking the nomination to take over from retiring Republican Rep. Frank Wolf.
Comstock, a Virginia state delegate, has also been endorsed by Wisconsin Republican Rep. Paul Ryan; former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney; conservative radio host Mark Levin; former Virginia Gov. George Allen; and Leadership Institute president Morton Blackwell.
According to
The Hill, Comstock had a 30-point lead over her primary rivals in a recent poll by the conservative group Citizens United.
