Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan pushed back at President Donald Trump after he publicly criticized her response to protests in the city.
Her comments came after Trump had singled her out, along with Washington Gov. Jay Inslee on Wednesday evening.
But Durkan tweeted: “Make us all safe. Go back to your bunker. #BlackLivesMatter.”
Trump had earlier posted on Twitter: “Radical Left Governor @JayInslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don't do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!"
And he added, "Domestic Terrorists have taken over Seattle, run by Radical Left Democrats, of course. LAW & ORDER!"
CNN had reported that Trump was hauled off to the White House underground bunker for his own protection for about an hour as protests got heated near the White House on May 29.
But Trump has claimed he wasn’t seeking refuge when he went into the bunker.
“I was there for a tiny, short little period of time," he said, adding it was "more for an inspection."
