Expect more shakeups on President Donald Trump's staff over the remainder of this year, his former deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka said in a new interview.
Gorka spoke with NBC News and said Trump will come to the realization his senior aides "are giving him the wrong advice" before Christmas.
Gorka, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and others who were connected to Trump's campaign have left their White House jobs in recent weeks and months as Trump appears to be relying on more established Washington, D.C., insiders for input.
Gorka, who resigned last month, is now trying to influence Trump's policy decisions from outside the White House.
"I predict, a lot of the changes . . . almost all the changes in personnel, the significant changes, were not made by the president, they were made by people below him," Gorka said. "I predict that soon, perhaps before Christmas, the president will be removing high-ranking individuals from inside his administration because he will realize who he's surrounded with."
Gorka has been outspoken since his exit from the West Wing, addressing topics such as the Iran nuclear deal and immigration.
