The Senate confirmed Ralph R. Erickson, President Donald Trump's nominee to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, according to the Washington Examiner.

The vote was 95-1 with one "no" Thursday from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., the Examiner reported.

"At the end of the day, I think intellectual honesty requires a judge just to work as we can (and) not be so wedded to any individual theory that it trumps reason. . . . Kind of my philosophy is, you follow the law, follow the law, follow the law up until the point that it looks completely crazy, and then you say, 'hold on, wait a minute, stop,'" Erickson said during his nominating hearings in July, according to the Examiner.

The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals' jurisdiction includes districts in Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota, the Examiner reported.

Erickson was one of eleven judges for federal and district positions the Trump administration nominated in early June.
