The Senate education committee announced Friday night that it would delay by a week a vote on Betsy DeVos for education secretary, Politico reported.
Committee chair Sen. Lamar Alexander announced the vote on DeVos will happen Jan. 31, Politico reported.
Democrats complained that they need more time to review DeVos' financial and ethics disclosures, Politico reported.
In documents released by the Office of Government Ethics on Friday, DeVos pledged to divest her interests in more than 100 companies within 90 days of her confirmation.
Further, DeVos has also resigned from her positions at a number of think tanks and groups that advocate for school choice and other initiatives.
