The Senate Leadership Fund released a new ad on Tuesday attacking Kelli Ward, the primary opponent of Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., for her "crazy ideas."

The group, which is backed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., released a new digital ad calling her "Chemtrail Kelli." It is spending $10,000 on the ad, The Washington Examiner reported.

The ad slams her "embarrassing behavior" as a state senator and during her primary challenge against Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., last year, according to the Examiner.

"One year ago, Arizona Republicans rejected Chemtrail Kelli Ward," the narrator says in the ad. "Remember why? Ward wasted your tax dollars for a town hall on chemtrail conspiracy theories.

"Embarrassing behavior. Dangerous ideas. No wonder Republicans rejected her just one year ago," the ad's narrator says. "Chemtrail Kelli — not conservative, just crazy ideas."

The ad comes after President Donald Trump had tweeted favorably about Ward.
