Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump came under fire Saturday by critics after Tweeting an image depicting rival Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, a pile of cash, and a six-pointed star, and then posting a new image that replaced the star with a circle.

Critics, including some political commentators and journalists, pointed out that the star in the initial tweet was the shape of the Jewish Star of David, reports Politico.

That image has been taken down, and was replaced, without further comment from Trump's campaign:
TV Guide Managing Editor Alex Zalben, however, did not let Trump off the hook, posting the initial image in response:
Trump's tweets, both the original one and the revised one, contained his comment "Crooked Hillary -- Makes History!" along with the photoshopped image of Clinton's "History made" avatar, photoshopped over a pile of $100 bills, with the words "Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!" at first inside a red star, and then inside the red circle."

The image also included a screenshot of a recent Fox News poll asking how honest/trustworthy or corrupt they find find Clinton. Republican strategist Ana Navarro, also a CNN contributor, pointed out that Trump often appeals to the Jewish community by mentioning daughter Ivanka Trump, who converted to Judaism before marrying husband Jared Kushner, and their children.

"I have Jewish grandchildren' is the new, 'Some of my best-friends are black' defense to an offensive comment,” she tweeted  in response to the image.
