Republicans Steve King and Chuck Grassley responded to a report from the Associated Press that a deal was made between President Donald Trump and Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. and Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Wednesday night the AP tweeted:

Rep. King, R-Iowa, responded that if such a deal were made, Trump's base would be "destroyed."
