President Donald Trump said he was not a part of the decision to have his name on the coronavirus impact checks, adding Americans will be "very happy to get a big, fat, beautiful check" regardless of his name being on it.
"I don't know too much about it, but I understand my name is there," Trump told reporters during the question and answer session of the coronavirus task force daily briefing Wednesday in the White House Rose Garden.
"I don't know where they are going, how they are going. I understand it's not delaying anything, and I'm satisfied with that."
Trump said Americans will not care whose name is on it, just as long as the check is in the mail.
"I don't imagine it's a big deal," he concluded. "I'm sure people will be very happy to get a big, fat, beautiful check and my name is on it."
