Donald Trump’s campaign CEO Steve Bannon has wanted to “destroy” House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., giving specific orders to his staff while serving as Breitbart’s chairman and suggesting the House Speaker’s ouster “by spring,” would be good,  the The Hill reported Tuesday.

Bannon “used to rage against Ryan all the time,” according The Hill, citing a former Breitbart staffer.

“Bannon has Alex Jones-level paranoia about Paul Ryan,” the source told The Hill in reference to the radio host who also runs Infowars, a pro-Trump website.

“[Bannon] goes on these amazing rants. He thinks Paul Ryan is part of a conspiracy with George Soros and Paul Singer, in which elitists want to bring one-world government.”

The source outlining Bannon’s distaste for Ryan is not surprising, considering the Breitbart chairman is advising Trump’s campaign as CEO and Trump went on a Twitter attack of Ryan – perhaps not-so-coincidentally – labeling him “weak and ineffective.”

The Hill report also referenced an internal Breitbart email exchange Dec. 1, 2015, with Bannon, which showed the chairman’s desire to get Ryan removed as House Speaker by this past spring.

Breitbart Washington editor Matt Boyle emailed Bannon to “open a bridge . . . playing the very long long long game” with Ryan by promoting a story on Ryan’s “planned overhaul of the mental health system,” per The Hill.

Bannon responded, according to the report: “Long game is him gone by spring.”
