President Donald Trump’s campaign has temporarily halted ad spending while it reviews its messaging strategy.
NBC News noted the moves came after campaign manager Brad Parscale was replaced by deputy campaign manager Bill Stepien.
"With the leadership change in the campaign, there's understandably a review and fine-tuning of the campaign's strategy,” a Trump campaign official told the network news. “We’ll be back on the air shortly, even more forcefully exposing Joe Biden as a puppet of the radical left wing."
Citing data from Advertising Analytics, NBC News reported the Trump campaign spent virtually nothing on television or radio ads on Wednesday and Thursday.
The campaign has effectively nothing booked through August, according to the report.
By comparison, Joe Biden’s campaign spent nearly $4 million on Wednesday and Thursday. The former vice president has nearly $6 million booked through August.
But America First Action, the Trump campaign's top aligned super PAC, has spent $1 million over the past two days, while Restoration PAC, another super PAC, has spent $360,000.
NBC noted the Trump campaign also has $146.6 million in television and radio spending booked from September through Election Day.
And CNBC reported in June that Trump's reelection campaign has pre-booked $16 million in television spots in key battleground states for the fall.
