Donald Trump Wednesday responded to Ted Cruz's selection of Carly Fiorina as his running mate should he win the Republican presidential nomination by tweeting her bitter attack on the Texas senator from January and simply saying, "agreed."

Here's Trump's post:

In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union" in January while she was running for the nomination, Fiorina said:

"Ted Cruz is just like any other politician. He says one thing in Manhattan, says another thing in Iowa — says whatever he needs to say to get elected and then does as he pleases.

"I think the American people are tired of the political class that promises much and delivers much of the same," the former Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO told Dana Bash.

Cruz announced his selection in Indianapolis, telling supporters that Fiorina was "an extraordinary leader."

Fiorina, 61, endorsed Cruz shortly after quitting the race in February.
