Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton's presidential hopes might come down Ohio and Florida, and the latest CBS News Battleground Tracker poll Sunday has those two states as virtual dead heats— albeit trending toward Trump.
Trump leads Clinton 46-45 in Ohio among likely voters in the poll, while the two major party candidates are tied 45-45 in Florida.
Trump's gains are attributed to partisan gains, as Republicans are coming home, according to the poll. GOP support for Trump has increased from 82 percent to 86 percent.
Other Florida poll findings:
- 53 percent say Clinton is "part of what’s wrong with politics today."
- 36 percent say Trump is that.
- 43 percent say Trump is separate from today's politics.
The poll interviewed 2,377 registered voters via the internet No. 2-4 in Ohio and Florida. The margins of error are +/- 3.6 for Florida and +/- 4.1 Ohio.
