President Donald Trump held a meeting Friday with former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, tweeting out a picture of the two of them:
Rice held the cabinet position under President George W. Bush. She met with Trump after first talking to Vice President Mike Pence, CNN reported.
Rice criticized Trump during the presidential campaign.
In October 2016, after audio was released of Trump making lewd comments, Rice wrote on Facebook, "Enough! Donald Trump should not be President. He should withdraw."
In December, she offered praise for Trump's pick for secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, who was at the time ExxonMobil CEO. Rice called Tillerson an “excellent choice."
