President Donald Trump on Monday blasted the media's coverage of family separations, calling his the "same immigration policies" as the Obama administration but with facilities that are "cleaner and better run."
Trump also repeated his stance that hiring more immigration judges to expedite the thousands of asylum cases that are mounting "is not the way to go." The U.S. must simply get tougher at the border and "build the wall."
That assertion comes a day after Trump said illegal immigrants should be deported without due process — "no judges and no court cases."
